Creosote is awesome. I would buy J Farrar new sheets if he were a millionaire. I would leave if he acknowledged my existence. Which one of you broke Ronald Acuna's computer mouse hand?

I'm hoping the summer SV electric shows have some surprises that weren't in last year's sets. Some Straightaways, WST, or OATMOR tunes would be nice, and maybe even break out a couple of "new" encore covers... :D

Since Jay works in cycles, the middle album with SV 1.0 sits really well with me. There are songs on there that I'd die if he'd bring back to his live shows. Sometimes WST seemed like a contract fulfillment but then I listen again and think, god that's good too.

I'm anxious for more music.

That is all.

Last Minute Shakedown and No More Parades are two of my favorites.

I came back to snicker and grin about the baseball and straightaways reconsidered. Made my Minutes. My only addition is you're right. Maybe it is a good album, one of my faves, but the later end of the SV album does not register to me as well as WST and TRACE> so haha :x If I were to excuse in Ronald Acuna Jr. in for cuts to the field....I would, upon the braves, wish Kurt Suzuki could play more often, because the batting order seeems like a straightaways w/out you...hmm excuse me without you....after all. put aside..finally gonna.. 8) Thanks ThrasherBear

Thanks

Agree with all Thrasher, but Barry in the Hall? You go too far, Sir! :o

Straightaways reconsidered

Straightaways was treated unfairly by some reviewers, compared and contrasted with Trace. I think about it like a baseball team. Trace may be more consistent top to bottom, but the top of the Straightaways order is so great, with an MVP hitting cleanup. That "murderers row" of Caryatid Easy, Back into your World, Picking up the Signal and Left a Slide is in my opinion the best 4 song set in Jay's amazing catalogue. A team can win it all with its 1-4 hitters playing at All-star levels, and so it is with Straightaways! (To carry the analogy to absurdity--Left a Slide is like Barry Bonds--maybe the greatest ever, but banished. It's time for Barry in the HOF and Left a Slide in the setlist!). 😊
