I still have Hoping Machine and Question to watch, but it's been great so far. Farrar wrote These Roads Don't Move, right? That one was a real treat to hear Jay sing it.
I think Jay was responsible for most of the music on Big Sur.
Yes, he wrote every song with the exception of the title track, "One False Move or I'm Gone."

Thanks (and to wrecking ball, as well). This album must be the poster child example for how screwed up the internet can get when it comes to credits. Allmusic attributes all songs to Gibbard/Farrar , etc etc. wiki, too. The only place I found that is correct is a wiki page (?) for a 7" vinyl record with Sea Engines and (I forget...I think These Roads Don't Move).

I know what you mean. I think seeing him play rhythm for so long makes us all forget at times that the dude can absolutely SHRED when he wants. And watch him on The Storm -- gorgeous finger picking. And all this is not even to mention his incredible ingenuity when it comes to open and alternative tunings. Truly a very multifaceted player.

So great to hear Jay sing the lead on These Roads Don't Move! Seems like he gave Gibbard the prettiest melodies on that record. This version is just beautiful. And the surprising bonus of humor in the intro, wtf?!
