I am about 75 pages into this book. Utterly fascinating, at least to me. I am the same age as Jay and Jeff and grew up in a neighboring town. I went to the same concert venues (Mississippi Nights) and record store (Lame Duck) in Belleville Jeff is writing about. Not much else in common, thought. I am the oldest of 4 and Jeff was the youngest of 4, and our lives were very different growing up. He is writing a lot of detail about his early experiences with Jay. Very entertaining and interesting. This book is (not surprisingly) very different and much more detailed than Jay's, which I also enjoyed very much. I think most on this board would like it. If you are on the fence get it.

I think the song's alright. And the video is quite humorous once I got used to seeing a very large Tweedy. I'm looking forward to the album.

He’s got a solo album coming out soon too: https://www.pastemagazine.com/articles/ ... ign=180924

I was excited when I saw the "twang-tinged" descriptor in the headline, but the song is an absolute dud.

And Tweedy looks like he’s eaten three of his younger selves.

I am pretty excited about this book. He is an intersting dude and his musical output up to Yankee Hotel Foxtrot is outstanding. Washe/Is he always perfect? Were any of us?

I watched a nicely done interview of Tweedy talking about his drug problems
and how being an addict gave him the ability to escape the horrors of being a musician, father, collaborator, friend, and good human being. Ah, let’s hope this new sense of self and the selflessness that comes from it, ushers in a brand new era of the Tweed.

Chainsaws are tools specially designed to carry out tasks related to the trees falling and the vegetation pruning.

Ah, but the key question is will he refer to Jay (F) as "the guitar player"?

The book follows his musical output to the T?

Not sure I have any interest but his work
with Cline, O’Rourke, Stirratt, and Kotche.
Bennett was a burning flame thrower

Tweedy memoir coming soon

Hope all you fine people have been doing well! I’ll read this raptly through Summerteeth and Mermaid Avenue and then likely with utter disinterest from that point forward:
