Overstates Winner's actual "accomplishment," probably because Farrar does. But I think we covered this.

This is an extremely complimentary conclusion for the entire band:
"Leaning heavily on the subtle interplay of multi-instrumentalist Mark Spencer, bassist/backing vocalist Andrew DuPlantis, guitarist Chris Frame and percussionist Mark Patterson for support, Farrar leavens his hard truth with messages of hope and resilience, themes lifted and carried by the rapturous piano of "Holding Your Own" and "Slow Burn." Farrar has rarely formed a more perfect Union."

Elmore Magazine "Union" Album Review

Post by Tokyo Fan »

I've never heard of this magazine but this is a very nice review. Much better written and thought out than Paste.

"a humble song factory of lucid storytelling and realistic imagery that produces earthy, well-articulated Americana with true character, grit and substance."

"85" is the number assigned (I think).

The only absolutely typical ingredient in the review is the predictable use of the words "earnest" and "world-weary".
