Runner and the Thermodynamics
Anybody ever hear of these guys? I saw them a few weeks back up in Portland, OR at a club called Diabos, Fieros, El Fuegos, Satan's, something like that. Excellent band. It a 3 piece, drums, guitar/vocals, bass. The guitarist played a Les Paul with no effects. They opened for the Drive By Truckers, who I missed - way too many High lifes, had to go.
If they swing by your town, check them out. I was blown away. Picture the White Stripes, AC/DC (Bon Scott era), Grand Funk drenched in bourbon. They are from Austin.
