Your Favorite Rainy Day Album
.....
This thread slipped my mind for far too long. I can recall lots of Creedence the last few rainy days in A town but then again I have listened to lots of CCR over the last seven months since my sweet old pops bought me the sweetest box set ever.

Dark Side of The Moon
Anything with "Ship of Fools" on it.
When I was about 17, I broke my back and had to wear a back brace for 12 weeks. Towards the end of that 12, The Dead played Mississippi River Festival. I snuck in about a gallon of whiskey under my brace. You should have seen the embarrassed look on the security guy's face when he asked me to raise my shirt and I had the brace on. Anyway, it was a warm summer evening, we had whiskey and lemonade and more than a few other treats. Ship of Fools starts up and the skies just open up. Total downpour. Nobody left, we all started cheering and it kept raining. I don't know how long they played it, but it seemed like the rest of the night. We had a mudslide going on and people were skiing down the hill on my brace. Some of the funniest stuff I'll ever see. When the concert ended it stopped raining, instantly. So anytime it rains and I hear that song, I just smile.
