I've really never tried 8% beer before, I'll check the vinemonopoly tomorrow if they've got it. (You'd be suprised of their selection, regard it as unlikely though) The only experience with real strong beers I have is Carlsberg's Elephant beer, and that's 11% or something? Bit too strong for my taste.. Do you get Norwegian beers in the States? (Ringnes, Hansa, Mack, Lysholmer, Aas, Frydenlund, Grans, CB?) I know you get Voss water which is something like 10$ over there. (It's regular tap water 8) )

Fenrisinho and all of you brown ale lovers: if you can find it- unlikely in Norway  -try Eye of the Hawk from Mendocino Brewing Co. It is excellent, not a session beer like Newcastle though. It is 8% ABV. I love it on draught.

Water...

Unless it's at a show and I'm supposed to be reporting on it, then it's whatever beer is dark and cheap at the bar!

Seems like there's a Newcastle Brown - Farrar link. DosXX reminds of Spain, good weather, hot temperatures, nice. I was DJing at a place called Finnegans in Madrid this September, had seven Newcastle's from the bar, and was slightly drunk before I got there(DosXX) and at a certain point, I got a bit in the paynoheedtotheupbeatmoode and played Moonshiner, man that song affects people! Played about 15 UT/SV/JF songs that night. Also, it is freaking easy to recognize Truckers fans, especially during Ronnie and Neil.

Good Rockin' Mood (in no order)
1. New Castle Brown Ale
2. Dogfish 90 (please drink responsibly)
3. Budweiser (all-american kick your butt but classy in the same breathe)

Easy Goin' Mood (in no order)
1. Jim Beam and Diet Coke (for time traveling....er um black outs)
2. Blue Moon with an orange slice (or a "black and blue" Blue Moon with Guiness. Tasty and refreshing)
3. Single malt scotch (if someone is buying)

Are you "up and moving" because you are "rock n roll" dancing?

If it is live, no beverage during the set as I am up and moving. At home, the pub or between sets it depends what is on offer. But when I have my choice: Rochefort 10 Trappist, Sierra Nevada Bigfoot Barleywine, North Coast Old Rasputin Imperial Stout or Dogfish Head 60 minute or 90 minute India Pale Ale.
