That's cool. You live in St Louis and are still a Cards fan. No Rams?

Well ... I live about 100 miles Southeast of St. Louis ... but, yeah ... I've been a football Cardinals fan since I was a kid. I was one of those that stuck with them after the move.

I don't root against the Rams. It's cool when they do well.

But, the Cards are my team ... good or bad ... no doubt.

They may win it all. That Defense and running game are tough.

Better hope they don't meet up with the Cards!

When I saw the score of the Jets - Bengals game ... I was thinking Cal's a happy man.

Congrats. Good luck!

Jets squeaked into the play offs. Wonder what happened to the Steelers and the Giants?

Figo (if you ever saw him live, which I have in multitude as well on TV, again in multitude) was a true leader on the pitch for Barcelona, Real Madrid, and Portugal. A standout kind of guy who's work rate and leadership was simply outstanding. This combined with one of the best brains in the game and complete skillfulness makes him one of the great footballers of all time, and certainly the best at his position. Fantastic sportsman.

Yes he's had his antics (like Zidane, Henry, Nedved and all other great football players), but 99% of the time, Luis Felipe Madeira Figo was YOUR MAN.

I can't say any clearer than that.

I agree with you about preferring Beckham as a teammate but I am talking about skill. Whining, cheating and bitching are separate from sublime quality with the ball.

Well, I'd say both Figo and Ronaldo suffer a lot from being Portuguese, and with that I mean that they are cheating whiney bitches when the going gets tough.

The mark of really great sportsmen is to rise when things are going against you. Neither of them (from what I've seen) have really done that.

We have yet to see Ronaldo grow up. Beckham did impress in the way he progressed from his sending off in the 1998 World Cup, and has shown a lot more character than those guys, and if I'd have to pick a teammate, he'd always go ahead of those cheating bitches.

He is no Luis Figo. Figo's the best player in that position the past 20-30 years.

Ronaldo's a good number two in that position however.

What speaks against players like Henry and Figo is that they've failed miserably when their teams are going down, becoming whiny fuckers.
