Anit Records, www.anti.com , has a decent collection of artists including the man, Tom Waits.

NMAS are cool. Luther is an awesome slide player! I'm sad though that my I'm finding it hard to follow Gov't Mule anymore

great artists
great management
great attitude
I second that! Merge is an awesome record company -

On the roster: Richard Buckner, Lambchop, Lou Barlow, Superchunk, and the early Dinosaur Jr Re-issues... among many others! I was delightfully surprised to find Jon Wurster of Superchunk getting much of the drumming credits on Terrior Blues.

Hurricane # 1
Ride
3 Colours Red

Remember them!!??

But they did have Sugar's Copper Blue,Super Furry Animals and Primals Exterminator.
Yeah, Alan McGee was a bit hit-and-miss in his signings! Xtrmntr was awesome, as were Vanishing Point and Screamadelica. Oasis' fist album was quite good, I thought- Live Forever was a great song. Things went downhill drastically soon after though...

Creation Records were pretty cool for a while.
Jesus And Mary Chain, My Bloody Valentine, Teenage Fanclub, Primal Scream...Scotland has produced some f*cking good bands over the years...
