I dig Trailer Bride.High Seas and Hope Is Just A Thing With Feathers are good records.Love Melissa`s voice :) Any of you heard Melissa`s new band The Moaners?.It`s more of a blues punk sound than twang but good nonetheless. They have one album called Dark Snack out.

Yeah, we dig Trailer Bride. We have Whine de Lune too, but it was their track on the 2001 Bloodshot Records comp, Itchin' for You, that attracted us to them initially.

Their new CD got some good reviews in No Depression.

But we like the Handsome Family probably even more!

Thanks for all the information.

Still not sure if it's worth a buy.

I'll have to find somewhere to give them a listen.

half ...

I wish I could claim these East coast qualities that you speak of.

But, alas, I am so far to the West that I can almost taste the Mississippi.

By the time all those traits trickle over to me -- there's not much left.

But, I did stay at a Holiday Inn Select last night!

I own Whine da lune, but have never really got into it. The short song written for her daughter is really good though.

i saw trailer bride open for neko case a couple years back. very southern gothic and a little rough around the edges...both good things as far as i am concerned. the lead singer has a unique voice and the lot played well. definitely worth checking out.

seriously. i think i've heard trailer bride, maybe, just once. is their music kinda dark or alt-dark? maybe the song content was. it's very possible that i was drunk at the time.

and i'll say it here so as not to dirty up yer vine thing. I continue to be continually and perpetually impressed by the peoples of the East Coast. A tough lot so ye are.
