Yeah, I suspected this wasn't a sanctioned CD. That sucks. I was just so excited to see it, guess I got carried away. The store I bought it from is really cool too... I don't think they're into selling bootleg stuff.
Oh well, now that I've bought it (and it wasn't cheap - $17.50) what should I do with it? Vine it? Take it back to the store? Burn it?

the subject of boots
I am not anti boot, I have a couple hundered of them. My problem is with somebody selling it too...

...however I think there's nothing wrong with owning it. SELLING it is a cheesedick move. A few years ago the Butthole Surfers took one of the most passed around bootlegs of their's, mastered and mixed it and then sold it themselves (The Hole Truth And Nothing Butt). Maybe Jay, Jeff and Mike could do something similar. I'd buy it.

Uncle Tupelo live CD: "Cover Story"
Anyone ever heard of this? Found it in a local roots/world music store in El Cerrito, CA:

Anyway, it was made by "label" called "PiggyPuss". It is a collection of live recordings from 1989-1993. They also tout a Son Volt live CD and another UT live CD. Not the best recording in the world, but some fun tracks. Here's the tracklist:
I've Been Working on the Railroad
Love's Gonna Live Here Again
Orange Blossum Special
Cocaine Blues
The Ocean (yes, the Zepplin tune)
Fortunate Son
I'm a Little Uneasy
Song to Woody
Knockin' on Heaven's Door
Gimme Gimme Gimme
I Wanna Be Your Dog (not the same version that's on the March re-release)
Wasn't Born to Follow
Do Re Mi
I Wanna Destroy You
Effigy
