The Lost Heart of Asia by Colin Thubron (travel book about the 'stans in central Asia)

One Hundered Years of Solitude by Gabriel Garcia Marquez (an absolute beauty)

Just read the last 2 recently and the first a while back (a classic)

The Brothers K by David James Duncan. It's at the top of my all-time favorite book list.

Fear and Loathing on the Campaign Trail 1972. Read it and compare to the current upcoming election. Summarize your views in no less then five pages. You will be graded on spelling.
