A pity the greatness of the album was ruined whenever you saw them live ..........Ian Brown has a voice even his mother couldn't love. A similar sound can be achieved by castrating a cat. However it only goes to show how great studio engineers can be.

Cal - that is one hell of an LP. I remember i bought the cd without fools gold and was pissed when the re-released it shortly there after with it. I sent a letter to the publisher and the sent me the re-release free. To bad the followup wasnt better. I am the resurrection was easily my fav song on the first one. I would recommend that cd to anyone. Love spreads on the second on was really good too.. very Zeppish.

I haven't thought about the Stone Roses for a long time. That groove is infectious. I don't know about the whole Beatles thing, but that's just in my humble opinion.

Not to be rude, and I'm not tryin to be, really, but... Remember when The Knack were proclaimed The Next Beatles? And remember when the Clash sang "phony Beatlemania has bitten the dust?" And remember when...

aaah, nevermind.

Rock on, dude.

The jam at the end of I Am The Resurrection is pure genius. One take live in the studio. Coolest drummer and bass player combo ever!
