Thankfully, in my opinion. I never quite got Rollins. OK he is mad at everyone and has a chip on both shoulders. Anything else to offer Henry? People love his spoken word stuff and I just find him bleh...I don't even have a word for it.

I mean him.

Where do you get Black Flag from? Anselmo sounds nothing like Rollins.

I don't like Pantera. Not my style but I respect them as talented musicians doing their own thing. :D

Doing there own thing? So not trying to do a Henry Rollins thing then?

Barclock, I think "The Woods" is the best. Give it more listens. It grew on me.

I`ll tell my getting into SK story...

Spring 1997 I was up listening to the radio late one night with a cold.I usually pop in a tape and record this particular show because they do cool profiles on bands. This night they profiled a band I never heard of called Sleater Kinney.I was immediately hooked.Corin Tucker sings like she`s going to have a brain hemmorage(her style is`nt totally orginal though, she got alot out of Poly Styrene of X Ray Spex:

I tried to find some of their cd`s but like when I got into UT there was none around :( Finally in August I was looking around one store I usually don`t shop at and there it was!DIG ME OUT! :D so I bought it and like when I bought Anodyne I could`nt stop listening to it for months.
I found the previous two albums s/t and Call The Doctor in a used store the summer of `98.
The Hot Rock came out in `99 but did`nt grab me as much. All Hands On The Bad One in 2000 was better and was the best record of 2000 despite that some fans did`nt care for it.One Beat in 02 was ok they seemed to be slipping a bit.The Woods I have`nt heard much but I plan to give it more of a chance.

Calling SK 'generic chick rock' is like comparing Jay to Tim McGraw

Having an argument with you, no matter how trivial is like trying to punch jello...it's impossible. 8)

No Housemartins song here :P Why do I have to love or hate them? Plenty of art isn't my taste but I can recognize why others appreciate it's aesthetic qualities. How is that fence sittin'? :?
