As well as playing as much music as I can..and seeing as much as I can up here. Saw Wilco in Duluth last Sunday and got into some lively conversation with Jeff purists..My feeling all day long..Jeff's real good...but nothing stands the test of time like Jay.
Tallman
Anyone from up north..I'll be hangin' at the reggae fest in Duluth, mn
on Saturday..I be the tallman with banndana covering my balding top..doing the funky reggae in the park...
Sebastopol is an awesome disc. Such a drastic departure from Jay's past catalog, but it works nonetheless. Feel Free is one of the greatest songs Jay has ever done. Everything about it is superb. The music, lyrics, everything works together to create a masterpiece. And that's just the first song. Fantastic album.
I got stuck on Damn Shame this weekend to, I started off my Saturday morning with DS to get the juices flowing, then listened to it again and again, and then finished my morning with both Medicine Hat and Medication a couple of times while following the instructions on Mr. Farrar's shirt that he wore to the Taste of Randolph. A great combination if you ask me.
Sebastopol is my sometimes favorite Jay CD. Love that guitar run in Clear Day Thunder. Barstow is certainly my favorite Jay solo song. Good stuff from start to finish.
