I'd like to hear Highways and Cigs, but I'm holding out for the release...so...
H's seem to be populated by Jay's melancholy tunes...6 off Terrior, what I consider a huge group of tunes that has several that should have stayed on the shelf IMO...maybe someone can set me straight but every album starting with Anodyne has JF inspired and in touch w/the Muse...Terrior has an uninspired, medicated feel to it even on the songs that actually work IMO...the experimental stuff, I like not so much...someone can tell me someday on a diff thread why I should like Terrior.
So for me its Hard Times...not greatness...Hanging Blue Side and High Water...give me the High Water all day long...classic

Hardest letter yet. Some of my all-time favorites here...

1. Hanging Blue Side
2. High Water
3. Hard is the Fall II

1 & 2 Are basically a tie.

Hard Times.

Could have gone with about 6 others - Hanging Blue Side, either Hanging on to you, High Water, Highways and Cigs, Hard is the Fall (love the Live EP version.)

Jay Farrar has written a lot of great songs.

I know I sound like an echo after reviewing the other choices but without a doubt it is Hanging Blue Side and coming in second with a hair between them, Highwater.

Again, hard to decide. Hanging Blue Side is a great song, but I had to go with High Water.

A couple of doozies here.

Came down to Hanging Blue Side vs Highwater. Had to go with Highwater (as
if I could vote against an Anodyne song - hello!!!!!)
