Funny that 6 String Belief from Okema didn't even get a listing...

I had to go with So Called Friend. Which reminds me, has anyone ever noticed that the lyrics for SCF are no where to be found in the discography section?

This was a truly hard letter.
But, I had to go with Still Be Around. Just amazing.

You are correct, sir. The SSBL version is Jay at his finest. The Okemah version just doesn't hold up.

No votes for Slate or Strands??????? What the hell??????? For me it was a toss up between those 2 so I went with Strands as the tie breaker since it's from Son Volt.

Over shadows feeding in the lurch
Just survived by a stone's throw
The decision wheels at work

No anchor-drop sanctuary, No earmark begins to show
No finding it uncovered, Just a wide swing tremolo

Lots of great choices but I had to go with the above. I love the feedback at the end of the song and WST is an awesome name for an album.

Only listening to Jay since '02...really getting him last year or so...doing the Tupelo thing means beyong Anodyne and Anthology...so this past week I've seen the Still Be Around You Tuber thanks to this group four times and probably played the song .eh, 10 times in the last three days...letting it sink into my brain since to me its fairly new. Gotta admit, I'm looking out of sides of my eyes going, "Am I just strange thinking Farrar (and Beck) are the only creative musical geniuses since Kurt blew his head of and Soungarten broke up?

Anyway, just another mind blowing song from Jay. Call it Folk or Country or whatever. Its great.

But I'm voting for six string belief. Its a great rocker. I love that album now.

It's a mood thing...torn between Straightface (that hasn't received a vote yet) and Sandusky. Will cast for the underdog...Straightface gets a place at the table.

Hum..just realized that Sandusky hadn't received a vote either! Well, forget the underdog crap. But the dice has been rolled and Straightface remains on the board.

Still Be Around, of course. Closely followed by a boatload of others, most notably Slate.

Carry on, wankers.

Damn, G. You're hardcore. A 3rd party website. Say, did you like my altered Stanley Bros. lyrics? :P
