I was kidding around about Bruce Springsteen on an earlier post. I do have Nebraska and the Seeger Sessions and enjoy both immensely. The soundtrack from the movie, Philadelphia, is worth purchasing just for his and Neil's songs alone.

A lot of people on this board hate Bruce and I just don't get it.

A lot of Bruce is the stuff of Jay - stuff about the downtrodden, disenfranchised, forgotten underbelly of middle America. The lyrics cut to the bone and he writes beautiful music.

Anyone bother to pick up the Seeger Sessions? If that ain't down home Americana at it's best i don't know what is.

So let's hear it. What's the word on Bruce?

And if you haven't given him a chance listen to some of the gems:

Incident on 57th Street
Meeting Across the River
Racing in the Street
Jungleland
Everything on Nebraska
