Give your readers as much information as possible as soon as possible. To heck with suspense. Readers should have such complete understanding of what is going on, where and why, that they could finish the story themselves, should cockroaches eat the last few pages. -- Kurt Vonnegut

This is an old editorial by Kurt. Worth reading again.

I thought they would have put kilgore Trout's only poem on there, the one that goes,

when the tupelo
goes poop-a-lo,
i'll come back to youp-alo.

In Timequake, Kurt points to a time when his alter ego, Kilgore Trout, dies on labor day in 2001, at the age of 84. I just read this again, that's a brilliant book.

I guess his writing called him home. :(

Here we are, trapped in the amber of the moment. There is no why.

He has been my favorite author since I read Slaughterhouse Five when i was about 11. Such a great body of work, great sense of humor, great outlook and observations.

He was a tough old bastard. I knew that he was wearing out but he was the kind of guy that you assume will surely go on and on...
