Every Richmond Fontaine album is worth owning! Willy Vlautin is the best narrative songwriter in the world today. The hours that seemingly every fucking music journalist spent lavishing praise on 'Modern Times' would've been better spent trying to get people to listen to RF.
Listening to Richmond Fontaine (and the Willard Grant Conspiracy) genuinely makes life easier to deal with.

The day you leave for good is the day I leave for good.calexico wrote:I never left for good.
As for Thirteen Cities, if you have any affinity whatsoever for great music, get it. Willy' lyrics, his voice, the dry dusty desert feel to the music...all adds up to some of the greatest American music being made currently. In my opinion anyway.
Well worth picking up, as is ANY of their albums.
