lol! Or like people talking to you and complaining about a lack of diversity in discussion topics.

Three times seeing Adams, three dud shows. maybe he was good in CO, but he has sucked every time I have seen him.

Yeah, pretty hard to top Son Volt from the No. 1 slot. ;)

Sorry about the ATL. A near-perfect show at Red Rocks. Band tight and jammy but not to the intolerable level associated with that word. Great fun banter and a second set even though it was 'round midnight. Ryan Adams & The Cardinals are the second best live band. Go see 'em.

just saw him in mobile, they had a twist to the whole encore thing. adams said something like lets pretend this is the encore. Then the band all laid down on the ground in front of the stage for about 3 minutes. It appeared there may have been some spooning. They got up and adams started into that oasis cover for about 10 seconds and then went into easy plateau.

Good show, sounded like the dead as well

Went and saw Adams play at the Fox last night. Overall a very tight show. There were some fine harmonies with the lead axe ( name?). I had heard the comparisons to The Dead, esp. on cds like Cold Roses, but in his live show his riffs sounded like they were lifted straight from Working Man's Blues and Shakedown Street... anyway, the sound in the Fox is outstanding and the crowd seemed to get into his introspection --

The problem came at the end of the gig. After "Easy Plateau," the band simply said "Goodnight" and walked off stage. A moment later the house lights came on to a wail of Boos....

If one pays 30.00 bucks and goes out on a Sunday night to watch you play, give them a freakin encore ( provided the crowd is strong, which it was). I know encores are trite, but who cares--play a couple more tunes. Hell, the show was over by 10:40...
Anyone else go out?

Can't wait for Son Volt to come Back!
