i had a chance to see Milton Mapes on tour in California recently. they are a fantastic band who put on one of the most dynamic and moody live shows i've seen. anyway, i saw on their website that they are doing a few road shows this week as a duo (which should be great):
Thu Mar 25 - Davey's Uptown - Kansas City, MO
Fri Mar 26 - Off Broadway - St. Louis, MO
Sat Mar 27 - Schuba's - Chicago, IL
if any of you live in or near those cities, and haven't seen Milton Mapes live, i definitely recommend.

Definitely have to agree. Do yourself a big favor and check out Milton Mapes. If you are interested I have some Milton Mapes to trade (mostly shows from radio).
Milton Mapes' Westernaire was my number 1 record from last year.
They are influenced by Neil Young, Wilco, Jay Farrar, etc, but sound entirely original.
There is some good info. at their web-site (where you can order their records):

You can hear sound clips from Westernaire at:
