I'm going to catch Oxford Collapse in September. Not very Volt-like, but nonetheless one of my favorite new bands.

Though you all will find it hard to believe, I saw Wilco twice last week in Jax and Charleston. They had the Total Pros adding sweet horns to many songs from all over the catalogue.
We were blessed with 'Cars Can't Escape' in Charleston :o  :D :!:

Texas Tom, I agree but I believe that hardwood was making the point about how Jay prefers less, er, very little, fluidity in his lists.
yep, and I was just stressing da coolness of wilco doing that compared to our dear ol jay .
Im not a smart fellar , but I know what I means to means

I've seen 7 shows in past 11 months, 6 of those in a 4 month period. Think I'm following in footsteps of Dev. Pretty soon I'll have a restraining order against me too.
And to think that Gramophone was your first exposure!! Too cool!

<Catherine>, nice shows, especially the 97s. They fucking ROCK THE HOUSE live. Texas Tom, I agree but I believe that hardwood was making the point about how Jay prefers less, er, very little, fluidity in his lists. I'm still going to see the Volt when the opportunity arises. jay farrar has a thing where you can request any song he's ever done, as long as it's windfall or tear-stained eye!
People talk alot of Wilco hating crap on this board, but I cant think of cooler band. I mean I love Son Volt , but Wilco live is fecking incredible

5/16 - Shannon McNally, Cary Hudson @ Belmont Hotel, Dallas
5/29 - Blue Mountain @ Sticky Fingerz, Little Rock
6/01 - Old 97's @ Cain's Ballroom, Tulsa

Edit: I'm so bummed that I'm missing Josh Ritter in Little Rock tonight, but after 8 years and 3 major changes I'm finally graduating tomorrow! Yay! Free from the chains of higher education.

Thanks for thinking of me but oh hell yes I've seen it. That isn't kinda cool, it's way cool. The set lists have been amazing. Lots of rarely played gems popping up.
