Here's "I Shall Be Released" from the same show:

Jay reworked the lyrics again to "He came dancing across the water with his scallions and buns". This, of course, hints at the age of French cuisine coming to the Americas and the subsequent downfall of, not merely our eating habits, but our society as a whole.lewhoney wrote:A question on lyrics (have not downloaed yet)-- Does anyone know if
Farrar uses the orginal Young lyrics "He came dancing across the water with his galleons and guns" or the reworked Built to Spill version,
"He came dancing across the water with his stallions and guns."?
It may seem like a little thing ( like Star Wars Geeks splicing hairs over the color of Boba Fett's Jett packet) but to a lyric hound it makes all of the difference. "Galleons" is a mere discriptor while "stallions" hints at the coming of the horse age to the native folks and an entire change of economics and environmental colonialism.
