i mean ... get 'em out by friday ... cinema show ... musical box ... supper's ready ... dance on a volcano ... one for the vine ... watcher of the skies ... return of the giant hogweed ... burning rope ... the knife ... carpet crawlers ... fountain of salmacis ... in the fucking cage ...

and i know what i like?

please

filler ... never got why it was so popular

great to hear that

i was shocked what a great singer Ron is. When Roye left the band for a while, Ron sang lead vox on a few tracks on Magic Is a Child and sounded great both on the LP and live. last reunion show i saw Ron didn't sing at all & I missed his voice

but yeah, powerhouse drummer too with a great sense of dynamics

I've decided to read Atlas Shrugged, just to see what the fuss is about, but personally I can do with out Rand's "objectivism". Ugh.

I dunno, Ayn Rand = Ann Coulter in my book.
Ann Coulter is a republican whore. Ayn Rand formulated an individualist philosophy in an age where women couldn't have their own identity.

Live for yourself
There's no one else
More worth living for

That's Neil. But Ann Coulter seeks contiversy. That's all she cares about because that's all that keeps her in business.

All Ayn Rand is saying is that you shouldn't wait for someone, an entity, institution, or God to take of you. You have to do it yourself. That doesn't mean you can't have a sense of charity and empathy. But you don't have to conform to every fashion the corporations throw at you (see hip hop) Bono isn't going to hold a concert that is going to keep you from loosing your subprime house from forclosure.

You can agree or disagree with Rand and be an honorable man. But Ann Coulter is a whore. There is no merit whatsoever in her work.

Lamb Lies Down, one of the all time greats. King Crimson, absolutely, love ELP, but most of the time Yes just irritates the hell out of me. Not discounting the talent, just doesn't appeal to me.

Rush...I shudder at the very name! I still associate it with a cross-country trip, maybe 2 a.m. crossing into Omaha, Nebraska and finally not being able to take it any more! Even the year (1976) is seared into my memory. (Apologies to the Rush aficionados. ).

I never did like Yes as I couldn't stand the vocalist (Jon Anderson?), but I did have a lot of Rick Wakeman and EL&P. How about Hawkwind? Do they count as progressive? Also, UFO, believe it or not, used to be progressive (their second album, on lp, was sixty minutes long with only 5 songs). (Side note: Yes, I know lps weren't supposed to hold that much music, but this one did).

Tull...ahh yes. I had forgotten that they could be lumped into this category.

Two more thumbs up for Rush....also a fan of ever-evolving(personel-wise) Jethro Tull. Ian's acoustic stuff is.....wow.

Ann Coulter!?.....yikes!
