This was already in the used cd bin when I went to my local record store today. I guess someone wasn't happy with it.

What did you think of it, el caballo loco? (And/or anyone else who's heard it).

I didn't pick it up because of it going to used so quickly.
I like it, but I am not blown away by it. It's a bit uneven, but there are some really good ones on there. I like it better than the previous DBT record - The Big To-Do. Placing it in the grand scheme of of the DBT discography (yes, I'm one of those people), I see it as:

Decoration Day
Southern Rock Opera
The Dirty South

Brighter Than Creations Dark
Pizza Deliverance

Gangstabilly
A Blessing & a Curse
Go-Go Boots
The Big To-Do

Thanks for your response, el caballo loco. I talked with some friends last night who'd listened to Go-Go Boots. They had a similar take on it. I think I'll listen to one of their copies and see what I think before I run out and buy this one.

I didn't pick it up because of it going to used so quickly.

But, I did pick up the following:

In Advance of the Broken Arm

Marnie Stern

p.s. Decorate with your fashion Marnie! You won't believe how much publicity you'll get through this (Jay) site. I have a friend named Jones who spells her name Jonze, but only when she gets called like that one. Funny how this is all based out of FSU. Alot of people out of FSU are hiring. Get here quick and let's get it done before everybody else finds out about it. Shit's already in Hollywood, Babydoll.

Solitude Trilogies are her. (Here in Tallahassee too.)

Love,
Pony

Dan Auerbach produced. If you like Cat Power and/or Jenny Lewis, you MUST get this immediately.
