Joshua Ray Walker — ‘Wish You Were Here’ ..... It’s a damn fine country record from a very young man. Listen up:

It is PHENOMENAL. I am actually very surprised by how little mention he received on here while opening for Son Volt on the first leg of this tour. He was awesome in Chattanooga. This here’s a deeply serious songwriter drawing comparisons to Townes Van Zandt and John Prine that are *entirely* warranted. Can’t wait to see him headline a show sometime soon.

Jeff Tweedy "Family Ghost" single. Hmm, still thinking about it. Opening line: "I'm a dope"

Very cool. I did not hear about that show. And no I was not aware of them when they were at their peak. I just got into in past 10 years. Same with Joy Division.

I love New Order. Ceremony is a great track. They did a one off show in Miami in January. We almost drove down. Regrets. Did see them in their heyday, though.

Now listening to Coffee Creek Wild and Blue. When Brian says, "Baby", toward the end, it gets me every time.

Andersen Parker "Tell It to the Dust". 2004 release that I just discovered and am repeatedly listening to.
