From the article.
Note: These are listed in no order of honor, but simply as they come to me; these guitarists are all worth hearing, and this isn’t the kind of music that inspires cutting-contest type competition.
Not numbering the subjects probably would have worked better.
I've had the pleasure of standing behind Luther AND Derek's amps while they played.
They're both fan-fucking-tastic, but, Luther's got more "rock" in him.
I dig Luther.
Derek's kinda "far-out fusiony" a lot of the time.
He punches you in the brain, Luther aims for the balls...

Gibson covered their conflict of interest ass with Nels Kline, and Luther Perkins.
Speaking of Luthers, Luther Dickinson is my favorite "new" guitarist.
Guitarist that isn't 50+ years old.
The intensity of Angus Young, the accuracy of a laser beam, with a SLIDE!!!
Try THAT, I dare ya...

Yes, I DID notice most, if not ALL of that list, are regular Gibson users.
My favorite guitarist of all time is Richard Thompson.
The rest are all lesser, so, I don't bother to place them in order.

Whoa wait, is it a conflict of interest if all these guitarists have played, or currently do play Gibson guitars? is this list all-inclusive, or is it skewed and littered with product-placement and backhanded advertising?
What I’m asking is, is this some BULLSHIT?
Either way, Creston should publish a “best of” list, posthaste!
Why not?
