Neil Young doing Anodyne.

Metallica doing Graveyard Shift (more out of interest than expectation).

Jimmy Buffet doing Windfall.

The Dixie Chicks doing Tear Stained Eye (yep I actually said that. They'd bring some great harmonies to the song).

Pearl Jam doing Before I Break.
Jay Farrar doing Pearl Jam's Black? Nah.

The late Layne Staley of Alice in Chains doing Still Be Around?

I know some of these are crazy, but that was kinda my point.

I love the rendition of "Going, Going, Gone"! It's amazing!

Without a doubt "Mystifies Me" is one of my favorite things he's done and I thought the covers and reworked traditional stuff on the UT albums were great. I don't think doing covers is bad nor does it mean you can't write songs of your own that aren't equally great.

Jay doing other people's tunes. Some of the most exciting things I've heard him do were written by others. Not knocking his outstanding songwriting, mind you. But "Mystifies Me", "Shake Some Action", "Looking At The World...", et al kick ass. I'd love to hear that record.

Covers of Jay's music or Jay doing covers. I thought some of the covers he's done in the past were some of the best stuff.
