Another thumbs up over here as well. "Songs That Weren't Finished" being my favorite of late. Also the two Courtsey Move songs are good as well (Count Our Loses & It's Hard)

I like the new cd,i gave it a few spins it's actually grown on me lol
palace at 4a.m. i thought was pretty good, loved the first track
the song with that guitar reminds
me of what is life by george harrison with the horns and stuff
on it. anyway i'm glad everyone
from tupelo's ashes are putting
out good music cause today's groups
really can't cut it, glad jay is doing this dvd/cd for the fans!!
i can't wait!!

Told you I'd report back later.

Cajun Angel is damn good. I ask those that dislike this album to listen to this again. Just a pretty freakin' song.

Enjoy it I say, or miss out on a good thing in life.

Puzzle Heart would be the name.

I'd suggest you pick up Palace 1919 if you can find it. All the same songs as Palace 4am, but mostly stripped down. Very good listen in my opinion.

I haven't heard it yet. I would like to though. I really like the guy, and think he is very talented. But I get the impression that he is the type of artist that works better when he is complimenting someone else. Take a look at Summerteeth, my favorite Wilco album. he is brilliant on it, and from what I have read was very influential in making it sound the way it did. But in his solo work he seems adrift. He tries to hard, tries to do too much, and it doesn't fit. There is that one song, something Heart, I can't remember, that is great, just a little too much.

IMO...it's horrible. He demolished Cars Can't Escape, which sounded pretty good when it was done by Wilco without the over-producing. However, half the songs on the disc sound like they were recorded from the stock microphone that came with my Dell computer. It's like an album of demos and it's REALLY disappointing to me.

Anyone else feel that way?

Listening to it. Sounds like there are some good songs there, they just haven't surfaced entirely. Will continue to listen and report back later.
