Hi lovers. Mascara: I am no longer with that horrible cosmetics (marketing) company, thank all that's holy. The job was fun but the sociopath that ran the place was intolerable. Their mascara wasn't very good. The commercial was actually for a lash-growing serum that used to be good before they changed (cheapened) the formula.

Currently, I am using Two Faced "Last Injection Pinpoint Mascara". I have small eyes, so I like that the wand doesn't dry to EAT MY FACE. It's more precise and the roller is small enough to coat the top of the lashes (and curl) as well as coat the bottom of the lashes. Also good for lower lashes, if you're into that.

Also, Two Faced has this fabulous (and cute) color set called Pixie PinUp. My Sister-In-Law gave it to me as a gift and I love it. Beautiful colors, and the pinpoint mascara.

Hey Ya Ya's!

always thought that consumer goods were bad till i found these:

Ann Webb Skin Organics

Image

I've been using the vanilla acai skin moisturizer for a while and some proceeds go to cancer research with each purchase. Their lip balm is awesome too, in a huge ass container that lasts for a long time

next...........

Beautiful Curls by Alaffia

Confession: I have been in Old Navy heaven/hell. Heaven the prices, hell the shopping and child labor exploitaion. but i must refresh my wardrobe every 10 years right? and my shirts shouldn't all be concert tees. Omg, the prices are bargain basement but are probably sewn by a 3 year old from the pacific rim. However, I scored a "Madonnna" shirt. I call it that cause it looks like the one in her "Dont Tell Me to Stop (Shopping)" video.

yea o.k. , its a little tight (aka busty) maybe I will hand it down, if it looks too vulgar, to you or Cind or any other lovely lady here when Jay comes to Texas.

toodles, nap time!

Luv you ladies!

p.s. anders absolutely rocks!
Love the shirt. I don't have the busty issue. I'll have to pay good money for that problem. That was probably one of my favorite Madonna phases, actually. The rhinestone rodeo cowgirl look. Very cute. Miss and Love! and yes, Anders. We have some delicious men in our lives, and for this, we should give thanks.

I watched Sylvia (about Sylvia Plath) yesterday. I was not entirely comfortable with how much I identified with her, but it was a good film. Gwynneth deserves more credit for her talents. And of course Blythe Danner played her Mom (stretch!). See it if you like poetry and dysfunction. I'm a big fan of both. ALSO ... Zane and I watched The Scarlet Letter yesterday because he's currently reading it. Who wouldn't endure a little jail-time, potential hanging and a pesky "A" patch for (clutch your pearls, girls) Gary Oldman? Hells bells.

Loves!

How are you all? Any fun Halloween activities? I've got nothing planned.

In Costume News: my son dressed as an old-school Vampire for Halloween. None of that Twilight horseshit, but VINTAGE Dracula. His teeth were the best part. He had a jacked up grill (glued in with denture glue) and blood, etc.. He coiffed his hair and I did his makeup. He made the funniest video of all time ... He was rehearsing some of his music in the car while he had his teeth in. I laughed so hard that I almost had to pull over.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ADdGxXLzVew

All kinds of life-changes happening on my end. Job situation took a turn for the psychotic, so I cut my losses by totally refusing to sign the most ridiculous (and 11-months late), open-ended NDA I have ever seen in my life; potentially career crippling for the next 5 years. Long story short: I am on the other side of a regular paycheck. It was not an unwelcome ultimatum. In fact, the timing was quite perfect. For instance: One day later (today), I've got two amazing business partners, an incredibly supportive investor and a really delicious business plan. Second business meeting of the day got us lined up with a day full of work tomorrow, where we will effectively network and promote; building our business. Today has been more fruitful than the past 11 months combined.

sigh. Tell me something good.

xoxo

Girls girls girls,

So.... I splurged on an organic sugar scrub hot stone pedi today. OMGoodness the massage was great. Slowly started to loose 1% of my blues cause you know, he didn't call (or text). Then, with all the grace of a tired old pack mule, I ruin the polish on the left foot getting in the car. Ugh!!! Really???
Do I go back inside, get a touch up while exposing myself as the pedi amateur, advertising, "Hello everyone it's me again, I don't know how to enter a car like a lady"? So I leave and calm myself with some Anders Parker on the i-pod on the way home and then it all doesn't matter cause what matters when Anders is singing "Second Skin" right? Right!

Ready for your jammy party.

*kisses*
