I love it when I go to a show, any show, and the band pays homage to a band that came before or influenced them in some way. In that spirit, I've been working on this for a while.

5D (with Roger McGuinn)
Before posting a link to download, I wanted to make sure that first there is a desire to hear the collection and second, that it won't piss anyone in authority off. Perhaps Mark Spencer will weigh in on the subject. I tried to only include live shit that isn't commercially available and in a couple of cases there are 2 versions because I couldn't figure out which one I liked better.
Now, if only Jay would discover his inner Black Sabbath.
Anyhow, let me know, I'll be back tomorrow.
Hey Derek
I'm going to take a shot in the dark and say 2000 Light Years is not the Green Day song. You even included Mystifies Me. That's a huge number of cover songs...
Hello.
2000 Light Years From Home is by the Rolling Stones and Mystifies Me is by the Stones' Ronnie Wood from his solo album entitled I've Got My Own Album to Do.

Got it (on sung by Jay).
Yes, even I understood how to use megaupload.
I don't know what those 2 versions of Absolutely Sweet Marie were, but I think the w/Ben Gibbard version is fantastic.

Yeah, Old Dutch is sung by one of the Boquist brothers and then Seven to a Room is sung by the other brother. It's done by the band, though, so in my book it counts.
I wasn't sure on writing credits.
Pocahontas is on that 2007 Live at the Mystic show. I can't remember who uploaded it here. But I'm assuming I got it from this board.
Wow, I didn't know about Don't Cry No Tears. I'd love to have that.
There's a few songs on your list that are listed twice. Is that because the band members are different? Or you're listing each performance? Or just s typo? (And I see Absolutely Sweet Marie down at the bottom, too.)
I always thought of Truck Stop Girl as more of a Kelly Willis cover than a Jay Farrar one even if the whole band is backing her on it. And what I remember of Seven to a Room and Old Dutch is they were written (and sung) by one or both of the Boquists.
As for additions to the list, I found the following:
Yellow Walls (Jackson C. Frank)
Rainy Day Women #12 & 35
Obviously Five Believers
Jay and Ben Gibbard performed Don't Cry No Tears together and New Multitudes closed at least one show with Pastures of Plenty which was very jammy though I can't locate the file at the moment.
