I've slipped pretty far off the JF bandwagon, but came in for this show. Holy shit. 10 Second News and Graveyard Shift were my personal highlights. The band sounded TIGHT, as in bad-fucking-ass!
Not crazy about Notes of Blue, but I'm not giving up on it. And I really, really do not like the re-worked Still Be Around. It's a completely different song, and frankly I could never hear that version again just fine.
But...10 Second News. Goddamn that was sweet.
Great show, opening act notwithstanding. I think that guy dosed up too soon.

Wow. Unbelievable they were playing in St. Louis the night of Berry's passing. Always think of the great portrait of the music scene in "Pushed Too Far":
"Take me back to the Mound City/Any night across town/Bennie for blues and James for barrel house/The brown eyed handsome man is still around."
Sounds like a killer show.

Just blocks from the statue and Blueberry Hill where Chuck still played. Jay mentioned they heard the news while doing the sound check. What a show. No sleeping tonight on such a high. See this tour.
