I serve a virtual tour of duty in Vietnam whenever I read one of Tim O'Brien's brilliant novels..... y'all should check them out..... "The Things They Carried" is especially good.

I read in one of these threads that Jay graduated high school in '85 so I doubt he had a tour of duty over there.

Was Jay actually in Vietnam? The Mekong delta IS there. Just curious. I just returned from Thailand and many of the restaurants in Bangkok looked similar.
