Yes, Big fan. Have seen him numerous times over the years. One of the best shows was with his son Teddy. So good. I also got to talk to him for a few minutes when I volunteered at the now defunct local music hall. Very humble.

So genius! I caught him opening for Jason Isbell at the Peace Center in Greenville, SC- just him and a guitar, my first and only time seeing him. It was pretty magical to say the least.

I had the pleasure of seeing Richard Thompson a few years ago at a tiny (but legendary) venue in Santa Monica called McCabe's... the dude is a magician with the guitar. He makes it look so easy but I have no idea what he does with his fingers.... My only quarrel with this video is that he didn't frame it a little lower so I could study his methods.... Enjoy!
